I've run into a snag in my thinking about using this blog as a family history adjunct. In presenting historical material one always presents the oldest first so you can build on the past to arrive at the present. However, this blog always puts the latest first in its listings. That would mean I would have to start at the present and tell the story backwards in order to present the material oldest first. I'm going to have to think on this some more.
(NOTE added Nov14, 2014: I think I've solved the sequencing of posts in the blog. We'll see how it works out)

This could get interesting
I lay awake last night wondering what I'd committed myself to in setting up this Blog. I need to have purpose and THEN potential. My purpose, I then decided, was to sum up a family's history. I've pretty well finished digitizing all of my family photos back to approx. 1864. There's somewhere in the neighbourhood of 2000 photos. I've been intrigued with the mixing of photos and print (http://www.alexwaterhousehayward.com and http://a.funnytimeofyear.com). I'm sure there are others, I just happen to like the photography of these two artists. So I'm going to take a whack at this and see where it goes.

So it shall be written, so it shall be done...
This could be interesting. Here I'm looking for a blog done by my neice Claire and her husband J.D. and I wind up starting one myself. I know I've had an intent in the back of my mind for some time now to use this type of medium to present thoughts and images. I just hope I can maintain a level of commitment to it all.
